      Third meeting minutes (teleconference)

                                                       8/15/10

Due to technology problems the Chairman got to this meeting a little late. Before he got on, the meeting had already started with the Mr. Gandah presiding briefly.  Prayer for the evening was said by Sis. Annie Dennis who invoked the blessing of God upon the organization and prayed that god continues to bless its members.

The chairman Mr. Tony Flee got on and immediately took over the meeting apologizing for his lateness. He thanked every attendee for taking his/her time to be in the meeting.
He informed the body of the formation of the organization and said that the status of the organization has not been established as either for profit or non for profit.

Almost all those in attendance were curious to know the name of the organization. The name SAMDAA was what the chairman called and buttress by Gandah. Sis. Annie suggested that the naming of the organization be put on hold until at such time when more people are in attendance.

Dr. Rally Gompah, who was also in attendance suggested that the Name SAMDAA be changed to SACLEPEA CARONIA LEARNING and EMPOWERMENT (SCALE).

Due to request from the body, the chair constituted a committee to drift a mission statement and objective statement of the organization.
Members of the committee are: 1) Henry Gaypea, Lee Gonquoi, J. Rally Gompah, and Sis. Annie Dennis.
Dr. Gompah inform the body that North Carolina is a non for profit friendly state and further suggested that that organization uses the State as her home. He also volunteers to drift the constitution for the organization.

As it relates to the status of the SAMDAA, the body agrees that it starts as a 501c3 organization for now until at such time when there is a need for change. Mr. Flee asked Sis. Annie to go and check with the computer company that she has informed the body about, during the previous meeting and this meeting.

Mr. Newton Sahn, as a new comer wanted to know the objective of the organization.

His question was answered by the objective and mission statement committee Chair Dr. J. Rally Gompah. He informed the body that the basic objective of the organization is to provide services to the people of or area. He further informed the body that the mission statement has been sent to the Chairman and it is “SERVICE WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOR”.

Dr. Tayor congratulated Dr. Gompah and his committee for a job well done but critique that the statement sounded to him like a mantle. He further suggested that a web site for proper dissemination of information be established.

Formation of constitution committee came to the floor.

Sahn suggested that that the previous mission statement committee drifts the constitution. Dr.Gompah, the head of the committee asked for Dr. Tayor’s help. Tayor agrees and promised to mail some needed document to Dr. Gompah as a starter.
