We want to especially welcome you to this site. This is the site of the Saclepea Mah Development Association (SAMDA). Our organization is a service oriented Non for Profit and Non Political group that is gear towards positively impacting the lives of our people in the Saclepea Mah Chiefdom in Nimba county, Liberia. We hope to be helpful in the areas of Education, Health, agriculture and the general empowerment process of the socioeconomic development of our people.

If you are already a member, please read the materials provided and leave a comment if nessary and if you are just a visitor, please be asssured that this group is a very friendly one and is filled with very nice people who are always willing to receive you with open arms. Last two meeting's minutes

                                                  Minute for 11/21/10
Chairman Flee welcomed the everybody to the teleconference. And also read the agenda after that.  Bro. Sam koaloe moved that the agenda be adapted and was seconded by Mr. Alex Gandah. Agenda was Adapted.
Dr. Gompah gave the opening prayer.
Discussion on the bylaws was the next on the agenda.  On that item, Dr. Gompah advised the group to send the original bylaws to the Lawyers for the sake of the incorporation process. In response to statement, Mr. Gowah who happened to be one of the board members who were charged with the responsibility to review the drifted bylaws, said that the bylaws were worked upon according to the task giving to them by the chairman and same was turned over to the board chairman, Dr. Tayor. Koaloe and Sahn buttressed Mr. Gowah.
Dr. Gompah informed the body that the article of incorporation is available and  Gandah asked Gompah to send a copy of the article on the listserv. Chairman Flee agree to do so.
The acting treasure of SAMDA Mis Samalia Idris briefed the body on the financial standing of the organization. She said two new payments were made. She gave the total amount of money at $565.
The Chair threw in the issue of Membership registration date into the discussion but Mr. Saye Zawolo asked that we should wait for the bylaws before we register members. Gompah Buttressed but said at least there should be what he referred to as provisional membership list. Gandah also buttressed.
Dr. Gompah briefed the body about the status of NGO in Liberia. He said that all NGOs are now called CSOs. He further stated that in 2011, all CSOs will seize to exist if they don’t have a base in Liberia.
In response to Gompah’s briefing, Mr. Sahn inform the group that as it relates to CSO registration, there are four persons in Liberia who are working on behalf of the organization.
Dr. Gompah requested a public worship service during the convention in phili. He said all interested should let us know in advance.
The treasure again thanked those who have made contributions to the registration process of the organization. She encouraged all whom have not made any contribution to do so.
The chairman Mr. Flee thanked all those in attendance of the meeting and urged them to come back again.
Closing prayer was said by Mr. Newton Sahn and the Chairman adjoined the meeting.

                                         SAMDA general meeting
                                            Minutes of 12/05/10
Alexander Gandah gave the opening prayer. The chairman Tony Flee welcomed the group to the meeting and thanked them for taking time off their busy schedule to be there.
Mr. Sam Koaloe moved that the minutes of the last meeting be read for the hearing of the body.
Secretary Gandah read the minutes. The Chair talked to the group about the upcoming convention, July 29-31/ 2011. He expressed the need to find those who know about convection planning. He appointed Dr. Rally Gompah and sabah Idris to plan the convection. Mr. Koaloe asked if there are some people on the ground in Philadelphia to help the committee since the members do not live in the area. Mr. Koaloe ‘s question was also the concern of most of the attendance of the meeting.
Mr. Zawolo Gartie informed the chairman that there is a work going on in preparation of the convention. Mr. Turay agreed by saying that the hall for the convention is ready.
Gompah wanted to know if the body will help with the work of the committee. His question was buttressed by Dr. Boayue. The chair answered in affirmative and further said Mis. Kou Konnah is the third  in addition to Zawolo and Turay.
Gandah advice that, the Gompah committee be an advisory committee instead of that of a conference planning. Both Boayue and Gompah suggested  that the chairman and Secretary go and hang head and get back to the committee.
Webah admonished all to be committed to what we want to do. She further asked everyone to help in the planning of the conference. Dr. compah Commended Mr. Webah for her effort in the organization.
In reference to Mr. George Brown’s question, the Chair gave an update as to how far the organization has come.
Dr.Gompah asked the body to continue to brain storm starting now and have a list going forward to convention. Dr. Boayue asked the chair to include the clarity that SAMDA is not in opposition to UNICCO in our document. On the issue of the mission statement being available for all recruiter to use in their recruiting process, Mr. Sahn advice that we use the already available mission statement we have.
In the  discussion, SAMDA was define as “a self help Group that give a hand up and not a hand out” but Dr. Boayue suggested that the language be left just as it is in the Bylaws. In support of Dr. Boayue, Gandah suggested that the group use the listserv to complete the bylaws but Sahn disagreed.  
After the reading of the mission statement from the drifted bylaws, Mrs. Webah moved that the statement read be accepted as our official mission statement. Mr. Newton Sahn seconded the motion. Motion was past.
The chairman volunteered to pursuit the bylaws committee so as to encourage them to provide a copy of the bylaws to the Boayue /Kluah committee. Following the chairman statement , Mr  Saye Zawolo  asked what is the function of the boayue /Kluah committee if we have to pursuit the  board?
Dr. Gompah informed the body that he has  submitted  nothing to the lawyer because he needed to have the mandated from the body. He further stated that he has not received any money from the treasure. In response to the statement, the treasure informed the body that she has already mailed  $515 to Dr. Gompah. She asked everyone to make financial contributions in order to correct the amount to the total of $640. Dr. Gompah also imformed the body that the bylaws will be finalized by the law firm if observations are attached.
Dr. Boayue asked the chairman to recruit Mrs. Webah to help with the bylaws. She agreed to help.
In response to the issue of EIN #, Dr. Gompah explained that we don’t need EIN to register in North Caronia.
Other business:
Mr. Newton Sahn express concern about the chair referring to the various logo sample presented as sahn’s version and flee version. In response, the chairman clarified his statement and apologized for Mr. Sahn’s misunderstanding.
The chairman asked everyone to go and open their email and vote for their logo of choice.
